All too often, the goodwill and spirit of the holidays are lost once the decorations have been placed away. Those who were so interested in helping those in need, forget about them once they return to their every day hustle and bustle of their lives. It is not that they care less, but that they don't have the time to help.
When I decide to recommend a company to my friends and family, (which is rare), do so only where the company offers something more than just their
product. They have to contribute to the greater good. They have to appreciate that giving back to society means more that offering a quality product. That is a given.
Well without fanfare, the good people at BookWise have expanded their philanthropic practices. Starting in 2008, 1% of all retail sales from the thousands of BookWise Associates in their organization. This is in addition to their donating 10% of all profits to charity. BookWise gets it. When you look to purchasing a book, music cd, movie dvd or video game, wouldn't you prefer to purchase from a company that is committed to giving back to society? Especially since their prices are as good as or better than Amazon or Barnes and Nobel preferred customer program.
As if that isn't enough, BookWise is also going to give each of its customers a free gift each month that they make a purchase from one of their Associates
Bookstores. Each month anyone making a purchase will receive one of their BookWise 100 Classics. These are some of the very best classic that have defined British and American Literature. Once you make a purchase you will receive the classic in downloadable audio book and ebook. For those who do not want to take the time to read a classic, they will also send you a two page compact classic.
BookWise seems to understand concept that by giving back to the community and to its customers without an ulterior motive, that we will reach out to them and choose to do business with a company that gets it. To support a company with a
